In 2024, Southlake homeowners are embracing flooring trends that combine beauty, durability, and comfort. As the design landscape continues to evolve, wood and carpet floors remain two of the most popular choices for homes across the city. At Floors Elite DFW, we’re excited to see how homeowners are blending these two materials to create homes that reflect both current design trends and timeless appeal.
The trend in wood flooring is leaning toward lighter finishes, with homeowners in Southlake opting for woods like white oak, maple, and ash. These lighter woods create a bright, airy atmosphere, which is perfect for the sunny climate and open spaces commonly found in Southlake homes. Lighter woods are also more versatile and can seamlessly complement both modern and traditional interior designs, making them a great choice for homeowners looking to update their spaces.
Wide-plank wood floors are also gaining popularity in 2024. These planks create a sense of openness and flow, particularly in open-concept living areas. Homeowners in Southlake who want to create a seamless, luxurious feel throughout their homes are opting for wide planks in their kitchens, living rooms, and entryways. This look provides a bold statement while allowing the natural beauty of the wood to shine.
For carpet, textures and patterns are the biggest trend. In 2024, homeowners are moving away from traditional solid-color carpets and embracing more intricate textures and patterns. This includes plush carpets with soft, tactile textures, as well as patterned carpets that add visual interest to any room. Cut-and-loop carpets, which feature both looped and cut fibers to create intricate designs, are becoming increasingly popular in bedrooms, home offices, and living rooms.
Eco-friendly materials are also becoming a major consideration for homeowners in Southlake. Sustainable wood options, such as bamboo and reclaimed wood, are being chosen for their minimal environmental impact. Additionally, carpets made from recycled materials or natural fibers like wool are gaining traction as more homeowners look to reduce their carbon footprint while still enjoying the beauty and comfort of their floors.
At Floors Elite DFW, we stay on top of the latest flooring trends to provide our customers in Southlake with the best options available. Whether you’re upgrading your floors with light, wide-plank hardwood or experimenting with textured carpets, we have the styles, materials, and expertise to help you create a beautiful and functional home.
